Ruhrtriennale kicks off the 2024 season

What a fantastic opening weekend! On Friday 16 August, Minister President Hendrik Wüst and Artistic Director Ivo Van Hove opened the Ruhrtriennale 2024 in the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum. The production I Want Absolute Beauty, directed by Ivo Van Hove and starring Sandra Hüller and (LA)HORDE, was shown to kick things off. A premiere with a euphoric response!

Visitors were able to enjoy a varied programme throughout the weekend: Exhibition openings, premieres, free workshops, performances, parties and the festive opening of the new festival centre ‘Wunderland’ provided unforgettable moments. What a festival!
