An insight into the creative process of our artistic director 

Ivo Van Hove takes over the directorship of the Ruhrtriennale this year. Suzanne Rae's documentary Two Men introduces the international theatre icon. 

Set around the rehearsals for Van Hove's production of Age of Rage, staged in Amsterdam in 2020, it presents his working methods, what he values and his visions for the theatre. At the same time, it is also a very personal insight into the story of himself and his long-time partner and set designer Jan Versweyveld. Just as it shows his approach to play development, it also focuses on both of them as people and partners. 

And for a particularly personal insight, they will be available for an audience discussion before the performance!
