Growing together with the festival — Junge Triennale makes this possible

From little ones under the age of six to primary school children, to teenagers – the Junge Triennale programme offers bespoke events for all age groups. Parents and families can look forward to events specially tailored for them, making a visit to the Ruhrtriennale an unforgettable family outing.

In Club Origami and The Sticky Dance, kindergardens and parents with children under the age of six can experience two interactive dance performances with music in which the little ones can get active themselves.

In WASCO! performing children explore a world without adults on stage in an action-painting performance. Performances for primary schools and families take the audience into this battle of colours at the weekend.

In GenZ Don't Cry, young people aged 14 and over experience a 3D soundscape that immerses them in the world of Generation Z. The innovative sound and theatrical experience can be experienced through headphones.

Teenagers aged 12-18 will accompany two productions in the Triennale Teens Talk II format and engage in dialogue with the participating artists. They will share their perspectives in a performative introduction.

Parents and grandparents can enjoy the Sunday afternoon performances with Happy Sundays, while their (grand)children of primary school age explore the themes of the productions in parallel workshops tailored to their needs.

At the Wunderland festival centre, the Do-It-Yourself Saturdays offer workshops for big and small every Saturday at 3 pm.

Teachers can find suitable offers and contact options for advice on selecting plays for their school classes on this page.

All visitors of the festival, from young to old, can embark on their own cultural journey, enabling them to have exciting experiences and creating vivid memories.
