Club Origami
Makiko Aoyama, Robert Howat, Takeshi Matsumoto
A dance performance with paper art for children under 5 years and families.
What looks like a blank piece of paper can, with creativity and the right technique, turn into a frog, or a flower, or even a whale! This is what makes origami, the Japanese art of paper folding, so fascinating. Together with the performers, the Children create their own artworks at the beginning of the performance. These are then used to create a Story entirely without words, which is performed by two dancers accompanied by live music.
Commissioned and produced by Little Big Dance.
